Wow, hasn’t it been hot and dry this spring? I’ve been out to water some plantings on my bushcare site and on a restoration site I have been working on with students doing their community services—something I have never had to do at this time of year before. How are your sites going?
Greater Sydney Landcare is excited to announce that we now have an Environmental Services team. Greater Sydney Landcare can be engaged to deliver a range of natural resource management services for you, including:
- project management
- site assessment
- project design
- on-ground environmental restoration and rehabilitation
- volunteer and community engagement
- volunteer educational activities
- facilitation of events
- community programs
- site maintenance
- monitoring and on-going networking opportunities
- watering your restoration sites to help them survive through summer
Our team comes with a wealth of experience, having delivered over 315,000 trees and shrubs plus 41,400 grasses and ground covers over the past six years, through monitoring and diligence have an almost 90% survival rate. We are flexible and can adapt to your needs—during the Creating Canopies project our team delivered both landscaped plantings and plantings for habitat values, connecting biodiverse native corridors. Over the past 11 years we have also been leading corporate volunteers and young people, and liaising with the environment community, in delivering meaningful actions on-ground while also educating and providing a fun experience.

2025 has been a challenging yet incredibly rewarding year for our network. Our dedicated coordinators, volunteers, partners, and community members have continued to show resilience, passion, and care for our local environment. Together we’ve achieved so much—from nurturing new plantings and strengthening partnerships, to engaging more people than ever in caring for Country.
