We’re thrilled to announce that we received 29 outstanding nominations across nine award categories for the Greater Sydney Landcare & Bushcare Awards. We greatly appreciate the individuals and groups dedicated to restoring and improving the environment across Greater Sydney.

The awards will be presented at the Greater Sydney Regional Landcare & Bushcare Forum & Awards—an event not to be missed for anyone passionate about conservation. This is more than just an awards ceremony. It is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired by like-minded individuals and organisations.

  • Location: Waterview in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park
  • Time: 9:00 am arrival for a 9:30 am start – 3:30 pm
  • Registrations close: Friday 9 May 2025

What to Expect

The event is hosted by Greater Sydney Local Land Services in partnership with Greater Sydney Landcare, and centres on the 2025 theme of ‘Surviving and Thriving in Urban Sydney’.

Enjoy:

  • Guest speakers from Parramatta River Catchment Group, Friends of Toongabbie Creek, and The Mudcrabs, plus talks on engaging youth in Landcare, Cumberland Plain Woodland and Koala protection.
  • Networking opportunities and interactive stalls.
  • Awards ceremony recognising outstanding contributions to Greater Sydney’s environmental restoration.
  • Site visits showcasing local conservation efforts.

After lunch, you will have the opportunity to break out into small groups for field trips to significant local conservation sites in nearby locations. Afternoon field trips options include:

  • Murama Healing Space and Yarning Circle
  • Birdlife Australia’s Discovery Centre
  • New swim sites on the Parramatta River
  • Inner West conservation initiatives
  • Wetlands within Sydney Olympic Park

Transport & Accessibility

  • Train: Concord West Station (T9 line), then a 15-minute walk to the venue
  • Parking: Free for the first 2 hours, then $3 per hour
  • If you require adjustments or assistance, please indicate this when registering

Morning tea and lunch are included, and a full program will be provided before the event.
